Linhsey Covert '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Linhsey Covert. I am a second year on U19 Ironbound Elite, a Tier 1 (AAA) girls hockey program. Years prior, I played U14, U16, and U19 AAA, and AA with the New Jersey Titans. I am a two-way forward and an engaged learner. On the ice, I love to watch and read how plays develop, create optimal plays for my teammates, and think about capitalizing on opportunities. This season, I am one of the leaders in assists and I am always focused on boosting my teammates.

Aside from hockey, I am a Senior at Trinity Hall High School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Trinity Hall is an all-girls college preparatory school with a rigorous academic program, where each class begins at the honors level. I am strong in the STEM and the Humanities departments at Trinity Hall, but I lean towards pursuing a Humantities-focused career path. I want to major in Film and Media Studies

In adittion, I play ice hockey at the varsity level at Trinity Hall. We play a very competitive schedule and have reached the semifinals in the NJSIAA State Tournament in 2021 and 2022. I am an offensive-defenseman that can put up both goals and assists. Most importantly, I focus on skill development and growing my hockey IQ. I am grateful to have the opportunity to give back to youth hockey programs near me through my high school team. I have coached at Girls Try Hockey for Free programs in rinks across New Jersey, and it was an incredible experience to mentor young girls who aspire to play ice hockey.

It would be an honor to play ice hockey at a collegiate level while also attending a rigorous school. I approach my academic and athletic pursuits with a dedicated and competitive perspective. I bring passion, grit, and discipline to everything I do, and I can be a high-impact player for your team.
