My name is Danna Ramadan, and I’m a goalie (#30) for the Princeton Tiger Lilies l9U AA black team. As well as the Egyptian National Women's team. I graduate in the year, 2025 from CJCP (Central Jersey College Preparatory School).
Positioned as a goaltender, I would explain my characteristics as a competitive, driven, highly coachable, and team-oriented athlete. I tend to be aggressive in front of the net and can track the puck well. I am very vocal and attentive, communicating with the defensemen by quickly assessing plays and providing assistance in making the right play. At times when I get scored on, I demonstrate resilience, easily being able to clear my head and reset. After each game, I rewatch and look out for things I did wrong even if it's a shutout. I believe that there are always mistakes being made whether that's simply positioning or reading a play incorrectly.
From an academic standpoint, I am a devoted Principals List student who excels in all my classes in conjunction with an above-average hockey schedule. As a SeniorI am taking 8 dual credit courses at William Paterson University, RVCC, and Middlesex College. In addition to, AP and Honors classes. I'm also a part of the student council and Red Cross club. Academics are my top priority and one of my strengths is the ability to balance both hockey and school. I believe that this prepares me for what's to be expected as a D1 student-athlete at such prestigious Universities.
One unique aspect about me is that I'm a dual-national American-Egyptian player. I play for the Egypt Pharaoh's U16 team. We attended the NHL-sponsored, Amerigol Latam Cup in September of 2022, making an appearance as Egypt's first National U16 team and taking home the gold (for the men's team as well). I had the honor of being one of Egypt’s first female ice hockey players and first Goalie. In addition, I also received the U16 tournament MVP. Fast Forward two years Im playing for the first Womens Egyptian National team. We’ve attended both Dreamnations and Latam Amerigol Cup and recieved bronze in both.
The privilege to play at a collegiate level would be a blessing in itself. I am sure to bring the moral principles I abide by from both academic and athletic perspectives.
