Hi, my name is Alyvia Lippert. I am 14 years old and will graduate in 2027. I've been playing hockey for about 9 years and I plan on playing for the rest of my high school career and hopefully many more. Me and my family never were big hockey people, my cousin played hockey in my hometown and inspired me to try it. I was always at her games cheering her on and understanding the game of hockey at the young age of 5. Before that, I was very interested by the game of hockey. I started going to open skates and I started as a mini as soon as you could sign up. I played minis for a year and I loved it. I turned into a mite after and I played for about 2 years on a mites team. I was on a team with all boys and rarely played with any girls but I still succeeded and and loved playing. The coach of the 10u team came up to my mother one day and asked if I was her daughter, my mother said yes then he proceeded to say I always knew where to be and I was very fast then asked if I would concider playing on his team. We accepted his offer because I wanted to know how it felt to play with girls rather then just boys. And after that, I havent stayed on the same team for more then a season. I was with different people constantly, I still knew them but it was hard to get to know them knowing that I won't be on their team again until a higher level. I played 10u, 12u, 14u, 12u again (we won state that year), 15u, and now this year im on highschool and im loving it so much already. I love competing against new people and I love challenges when it comes to hockey and getting better. Hockey has always been close to my number one in my heart. Being a student-athlete is hard but I wouldnt trade this for anything.
