Holly Abela '22 Recruiting Profile

I have played hockey for as long as I remember.  My hard work, passion for hockey and effort has gotten me to where I am today. I play hockey because I love it and without hockey, I wouldn't be the same. My goal has always been to play division 1 hockey at a school with great academics and to, of course, play for Team Canada.  I am a great 2-way player. I love to put the puck in the net anyway I can, but I also play a good positionally defensive zone game. I have a very good hockey IQ and I can see the ice really well as a heads up, stick handling, puck possession forward. I am a great team leader on and off the ice and I am always focused and determined to get better every day, as well as helping my teammates get better. I am someone who is receptive to feedback and always up for challenges and won't give up until they are completed. You can always count on me to get work done. As well as trying to find a great athletic school, finding a school with good academics is also very important to me because I do excel in school with a 93% average overall.
