From a young age, I have loved being a part of a team. My earliest memory includes watching my brother playing hockey for the first time and claiming that "I wanted to join too!" Since then, I have learned that working as a team requires everyone to put in 100% effort and push each other constantly to improve. Through this experience, I can respect different types of people and push myself to succeed both athletically and academically.
I've been improving my skills since I was five, and now I'm a tough and dedicated left/right defenseman with a strong hockey IQ. I'm also a great team player and a versatile athlete who can play both forward and defense. I'm not afraid to jump into the play as an offensive defenseman and am often pulled up to winger on a power play to generate scoring chances.
In the classroom, I study with the same level of work ethic to maintain my high 4.0 GPA. I have also spent a lot of time as a Co-op student helping out at Markham Stouffville Hospital last year. I am interested in schools that provide me with a competitive hockey program in a tight-knit team environment, as well as a high level of education. It is important to me to find a school that can challenge me both athletically and academically, pushing me to improve in all aspects!
