Hello, my name is Rylee Eno. I am 16 years old, and am currently playing for North York Jr. I fell in love with the game when I was only 4 years old; the rink is my home away from home. Hockey has changed my life for the better. Throughout the years it has taught me teamwork, leadership and determination all while helping me make life long friends and memories. I've played as a goalie at the highest level of girls hockey for my whole hockey career. I have done on ice training since I was 7 years old, and I've been invited to many camps and showcases including the team Ontario tryouts and multiple university camps.
My collegiate goal is to play college hockey, and I would like to major in communications or sports marketing. I believe I am the person that I am because of what I've been able to learn and experience throughout my career in hockey, and I would love to take what I've learned and accomplished and apply it to a career that would allow me to maintain a strong relationship with the hockey community. I want to take my game to the next level by playing with the best, and most talented women in college hockey. I want to be involved in the school and I want to make my college years mean something.
What makes me stand out from other goalies is that no matter what I'm doing I always give 100% and maintain my focus. My dedication to hockey and to my education demonstrate that I strive for excellence at all times, and will do whatever it takes to improve and reach the goals set for me by coaches and teachers, as well as the ones I set for myself. I put in not only the extra on-ice training, but also the crucial dry-land and hand/eye coordination training required to be a top performing and consistent goalie. I spend at least 12 hours a week on the ice training and 5-6 hours doing dry-land. I feel that the mental side of hockey, particularly for goalies, is not focussed on enough. I believe that being the best goalie involves the obvious physical training and discipline, but also an emphasis on the psychological side of the game. For this reason I have also dedicated many training hours with my personal goalie coach on NeuroTracking and mental toughness. As an athlete I am very coachable. I take critiques and apply them when playing. I love hockey and will do anything to get to the next level! I believe that my hard work and dedication to academia and to this sport will make me an asset to any college, and any college team!
