Meghan Stewart '23 Recruiting Profile

I am one of the most vocal goalies you'll hear. My players always know if there is an opponent open in front of the net, putting on pressure, or when they have time, etc. I'm flexible and quick, so I find it easier to see through traffic and stop re-directs. I also excel down low, which keeps me calm during scrambles. I can get from one side of the ice to the other quick, and in position to stop a puck. I never give up on any play; I will always give something extra no matter what. I want this path because I'm excited about playing hockey for the rest of my life, as well as obtaining a degree in the educational path I choose. I love learning new things, and that reflects on how I play- whenever my coach tells me something new, I take it into my playing technique right away. I have always stepped onto the ice with a positive, determined mindset every single time, because that's me. I hate losing or letting goals in, but when I do, I feel as though it's an opportunity for me to take my mistakes and learn from them. I look forward to continuing my hockey and educational career in a new setting, and like I said, I'm always ready to learn :)
