Taylor Plunkard '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing hockey when I was 5 years old and ever since then it has been my dream to play at the collegiate level. Every time I step on the ice, I push myself harder and harder so that one day I'll be the best I can be. I never stop pushing myself no matter how hard it gets. I always do my best to encourage my teammates on and off the ice. I haven't been a captain once but that doesn't stop me from trying to be a leader. I go to every practice and I explain the drills we did to the girls that couldn't be there. I've been told by many teammates and coaches that I always seem to have a positive attitude towards everything. I learn very quickly. The coaches only have to draw up a drill once and I already have it down. I adapt to the game. I make sure that me head is always up and I find open ice. I can play every position. Forwards is definitely what I find myself best at but my previous coaches said I'm just as a good at defense. Wherever the team needs be to play is where I'll go. I want to help the best I can. In the classroom at school I try my hardest to get good grades. I study for every test and I ask questions when I'm stuck and don't know what to do. When other students are stuck, I try to explain the best I can.  I believe that with my positive and encouraging attitude as well as my hard work ethic, I would be a good fit for any team.
