Sydnee Chaisson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sydnee Chaisson, I am a 16 year old student who attends The Mount Academy, which is a preparatory school located on Prince Edward Island.  I am a driven and  well rounded athlete/student who takes both education and being part of a hard working team very seriously,  someone my coach and teammates can count on. I strive to do my best each and every time I step into a classroom and/or onto the ice. Being part of a team and the comradery of my teammates that go along with this is important to me as it enables me to capitalize on my strengths and grow more versatile as a person.   

I am very coachable and embrace feedback whenever possible in order to take my game to the next level and someday reach my aspiring goal of playing in the NWHL. My long term passion outside of my hockey career is to be involved within the medical field and someday become a Radiologist. I am a compassionate and caring person and want to be able to help others in every capacity I can. In addition to playing a high level of hockey I was also part of  the U16 Women’s  Provincial Field Hockey team in 2019 which competed  in Calgary Alberta.  From there, I was selected to attend the Next Gen U18 Women’s Field Hockey Camp held in Victoria, BC. 

In order to achieve these goals I feel having the opportunity to attend a highly renowned school with a top rated athletic/academics program is important. Attending the Mount Academy has helped me grow into the person I am today and has taught me discipline and the steps needed to overcome day to day challenges going forward.  With these values comes Success!
