When I think about how to describe myself, the words that come to mind are determined and hard working! This applies both academically and athletically. There are smarter students and more athletically gifted players but NOBODY outworks me. I am a Dean’s List student because I study hard, prioritize my school work and do extra credit to show my dedication. The same is true for hockey. I was once cut from a hockey team which could have crushed me. Instead it fueled me to put in the extra work to get better and the next year I made the top (Boys) team. I am always working to improve my game and love every minute of it.
So if your school is looking for dedicated, hard working student athletes who LOVE being a part of a community (school and sports) then I would be a great fit!
