My name is Breanna Patterson and I’m 17 years old. This season I will be playing for the Dallas Stars Elite U19 Tier 1 Girls during the 2023 - 2024 season. In addition to my team commitments, I attend the Dallas Hockey Academy which includes four sessions a week of both on ice instruction from Dallas Stars Elite coaches and strength and conditioning from Dallas Strength Coach. I am continually focused on what I can to improve on my skills and to get better including small skating sessions or camps. I grew up playing competitive soccer but wanted to challenge myself in another sport and found hockey. Since then I have been focused on continuous improvement and accountability. I have been named the Alternate Captain of my team for the past two seasons because of the commitment I show, both on and off the ice, to the team and my fellow players through positivity. I try to be an example for other players and demonstrate how to be coachable.
Outside of hockey, I am focused on my academics and looking forward to my college education and experience. I have a focus on marketing and digital media which is also a passion of mine. I am motivated to keep high grades and show that I am not only a strong athlete but also driven student. I currently have a 3.7 GPA which I am working to raise and am preparing myself for college.
I am hoping to continue playing hockey into college and utilize my experience to help other organizations with their marketing to help grow girls hockey in other areas.
