I've been playing hockey for 6 years. This last season was my 7th season playing. I played with boys for 4 seasons, and 2 seasons with girls. This past season(2017-2018) I got back with a boys team. I played on the U16 Richmond Generals team. This coming season(2018-2019) I will be play on the NOVA Ice Dogs U19 AA girls team. I've had about 4 shutouts in my hockey career. My school work is very important. Last season I drove 2 1/2 hours for practices twice a week and twice for games on weekends. I've kept my grades up to A's and B's. I have been always on the Honor Roll for A/B or B Average.
When I started playing hockey in 2011, I played as a forward. I always bugged my dad about playing goalie but I had to play one season of player, before that. The league I was in was small, not many girls played there. It was mostly guys. There were 2 female goalies where I played. They aren't much older then myself, but one inspired me to play goalie. She was great and I still look up to now.
