I first started playing hockey when I was 4. My father got me into the game. My first NHL game was the best thing my eyes have laid on. I aspire to play hockey because I love the way it makes me feel; mentally, physically and emotionally. I've learned a lot about myself while playing hockey such as I'm a very good team player, I have proven to myself that I am a leader to other girls on my team, and hockey is a coping strategy I use when I'm upset. My academic goals for high school are to run for student council, join clubs and join peer helpers (Outlet for fellow students), Also to become a CNA at 17 to put on my college resume, so in the future i can become a nurse . I've had to overcome a number of mental blocks in hockey, and deal with setbacks during the pandemic. I set an example for the rest of my peers on and off ice. I'm great at encouraging and try to offer positive motivation to my teammates when they are down. I love the game because of the excitement that comes with it.
