I have been skating since I was 5 years old and playing hockey since I was 7 years old. My passion for the game has only grown over the past 7 years. Over that time I have had the opportunity to learn from some amazing coaches and to play with some highly skilled hockey players, many of which are still friends to this day. One of my goals, since I started playing, was to one day play hockey at the collegiate level and also earn a degree doing something I love. I strive to be as successful off the ice as I am on the ice, with a specific focus on academics. I am a team player with a positive attitude and work ethic. If there is something that I don't excel in, I will do everything in my power to overcome the obstacle that is holding me back. I have played on numerous AAA teams and won multiple state championships with my youth hockey organization. I have all the skills coaches are looking for in a hockey player; great hands, strong shot, and a high hockey IQ but where I think I really excel is in my skating ability. I feel I would be an asset to the right University from both an academic and athletic perspective.
