My name is Rachel Robb, I started lacrosse in the 4th grade and I've played ever since. I have always been an athlete, but one of my main sports besides Lacrosse is TaeKwonDo. TaeKwonDo contributes a lot to lacrosse. It has taught me how to work with people, how to lead, and it's given me many advantages like confidence, flexibility, strength, self-awareness, agility, and respect. I also used to play basketball and was a point guard. Although my shooting was a little rough, I understood the game and how to play it, which also contributed in learning drills, plays and techniques for lacrosse since they're fairly similar.
My first two years of lacrosse I played every position. I was starting goalie and top scorer for the team. We finished runner up my first year, then State Champions in 5th grade and I received the MVP award. In middle school I had to decide which position I wanted, and I chose goalie. All through middle school we went undefeated in the season. In 6th grade we were state champions and I got MVP, in 7th grade we were state champions, and in 8th grade we lost our first playoff game. This past season we only lost one game and were State Champions. I received the MVP as a Freshman on the Varsity squad. I'm a cheerful, happy person and love to do fun stuff, but when it is time to focus, I focus and perform like I should. My team won the State Championships in 2014 & 2015.
I'm currently an A/B student but I'm working hard on improving my grades so that I will have more opportunities for college. I'm challenging myself in the classroom as best I can, and hoping for my best results to come of it. I'm not reaching my full potential in class and I'm hoping to change that this upcoming school year by making some changes to my routines.
