I have been wrestling for a total of five years now. I started wrestling because it felt like the right sport for my size, discipline, work ethic, and leadership. My first coach, Tanner Moon, really inspired me to become the man I have become today. He pushes me to my limits every day and he is one of the main reasons for why I wrestle. In my high school career so far, I have won a total of more than 75 matches and I have a winning dual record. I qualified for the state tournament in both my freshman and sophomore year of high school, and lost in the blood round to place in the tournament last year. I wrestle year round, with my school during the season and with my club, Ironclad Wrestling Club, in the off-season. Club wrestling has helped me grow in the sport and also become smarter and more strategic in the way I wrestle. I have had success in off-season tournaments, in and out of state.
Outside of wrestling, I make straight A's in all my classes, including honors and AP classes. I have been inducted in several honor societies, including the National Junior Honor Society in middle school, English Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and the National Honor Society in high school. I have was also awarded with top grade averages in my grade all three years of middle school.
I feel like I can make an impact on any wrestling team, on and off the mat. Every practice and every weight session, I go in with a new set of goals of what I want to achieve in that practice and how it will make me better. I will always give 110% in everything I do, whether that is working on the mat, or studying more in the classroom. I aim to be the first one to show up at practice and the last one to leave. I also believe wrestling is as much as a team sport as it is individual. My number one priority is the team's success and us growing lifetime bonds with each other. Above all, I do whatever it takes to win. Everything in my life is competition, and I feel like that helps me on the mat. I would love to wrestle at the next level, and I will do everything and anything in my power to help me, my team, and my teammates be successful.
