In my family, sports was something my siblings and I were always involved in. Until 2013, sports were really nothing more than recreation. But when I began to play lacrosse, the word "sport" had a completely different meaning to me. No longer did it mean something that I did for fun every other Saturday, but it developed into my love and passion.
My parents have molded me into who I am today. I can thank them for teaching me to be respectful, remain ethical, and to never give anything less than 100% effort. I believe this helps me stand out among the crowd. Because of the expectations I have been given to live up to, it has made me a leader among my peers. This is a quality in myself that I admire because it leads me not to live up to the unofficial rules given in our society. I am willing to fight for what I believe in, to work day and night for something I want, and am passionate in all the things I do, especially learning and lacrosse. I soak up new information like a sponge, and am a coach-able, quick learner in both school and sports. In college, I wish to play lacrosse and to work for a degree in either sports marketing/business or video production. At college, I hope to be active in school functions and events, and to be the top of my class. Because of my hard work ethic and determination, I believe I can live up to my hopes and dreams.
