I started playing lacrosse at the age of seven and I have been obsessed ever since. I am blessed to have many people who have shaped who I am, most notably my older brother who I lost to brain cancer when I was 8 years old. He is my inspiration and guardian angel in my life. My coaches and teammates have had a huge positive influence on my personal development and I look forward to continuing my lacrosse journey at the next level.
While academics are my top priority as I think about college, I will focus on schools where I can play competitive lacrosse. Athletics have taught me discipline, teamwork, empathy, and have enhanced my competitive spirit. I see lacrosse as foundational to who I am and who I want to become. It keeps me grounded, helps me manage my mental health, and has given me some of my best friends in the world.
I have played attack from the start of my lacrosse journey and am known for orchestrating the motion offense, assisting my teammates, and having a nose for the goal. My coaches see me as a leader on the field based on my selfless approach to the game, the respect of my teammates, and my optimistic spirit.
I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life and play for the Team NorCal Girls High School Elite team. I am devoted to the team given their principles of teamwork, discipline, and fair play. I also play Box lacrosse with the Cali*Lax ALL-STARS which has helped me to enhance my intensity of play and improve my stick work and shooting. Given my current school does not have a lacrosse program, I am always seeking out different opportunities to improve my game. I workout with a trainer four times a week, focusing on speed, agility, and strength training. I am also committed to doing stick work and shooting outside of practice multiple times a week.
In the classroom, I have attended The Nueva School since the 2nd grade and currently maintain a straight-A GPA. My academic passions are math and science and I pride myself on my self-advocacy, time management, and strong work ethic.
I am very active in my community. I am a regular volunteer at Family House, an organization that provides free housing and support to families with children being treated for life-threatening illnesses at UCSF Children’s Hospital. I have also found many ways to give back to the lacrosse community through private coaching, working for local lacrosse clubs, and reffing games.
I look forward to exploring opportunities to combine my passion for both academics and lacrosse as I consider my college options.
