Quick to learn, dependable and intuitive, this describes me, Audrey Glazier. I am a native coloradian and love living in this gorgeous state. My family is very close knit and we have been “Team Glazier” ever since I can remember. At age two my parents had started my siblings and I hiking and skiing in the mountains. By late middle school we started traveling to national parks regularly. This upbringing has encouraged my love of the outdoors and sports. In 5th grade I took up lacrosse, much to my father’s delight, he played in highschool and college and has encouraged my passion for lacrosse.
Colorado girls lacrosse has many opportunities, I have played on local recreational teams, travel teams and have spent the last two years on the highschool varsity team. As goalie on all of these teams, I see myself as a leader. When in goal I can see the whole field and help my teammates by calling out things they can’t see happening. I enjoy the team atmosphere and try to encourage activities outside of practices. In 2020 I organized for my travel team to go to see a DU women's lacrosse game. This is significant to me because this was the week before the country closed down due to covid. This became a very valuable memory not only to my teammates but for me as well, before communication and activities were hindered. This past season was my first taste of what a real lacrosse season was like without covid restrictions. I have achieved a great deal the last season, I had received an Honorable mention as a Centennial All League Athlete and I grew so much as a Goalie.
Although I do not know my specific career goals, I know that attaining a bachelor's degree will benefit my overall goals in life. I value education, I have been on the honor roll all four semesters of highschool and I am taking AP language and AP psychology. Continuing my education with a college degree will give me the basics of communication, both written and verbal, to achieve my next steps. I believe with good communication skills and a broad knowledge in various academics will prepare me for any career path I choose to study.
I am Audrey Glazier, quick to learn, dependable and intuitive. I love playing lacrosse, it has been and hopefully will continue to be important in my life. I hope that wherever I go in the future I can grow as a player and grow my love for the sport.
