As a 4 sport athlete I have learned so many different skills through basketball, skiing, lacrosse, and field hockey. I started playing lacrosse because I loved how fast paced it looked and how everyone on the team works as a unit. For the past 6 years playing lacrosse, I have always aspired to play at colligate level. Playing college lacrosse has been a huge goal of mine since I was younger. Since then, I have grown to become a strong defender.
I demonstrate great sportsmanship to my teammates, opposing team, and officials. I am a leader on and off the field and always have a positive attitude, emotional control, and I lead my teammates through example. I work hard year round participating in many different lacrosse camps, high school varsity field hockey, high school varsity basketball, and working on my stick skills at home or on the field which all contribute to my athleticism and versatility. I am also consistently giving 110 percent. I am an extremely versatile player and I have learned to adapt quickly to new positions and I am able to play wherever I am needed on the field. I am quick on my feet, very vocal on the field, have strong stick skills, have a high lacrosse IQ, am physically and mentally tough, and I have great body positioning. I strive to be one of the hardest working players on my team and inspire others to put in their all. Throughout my two years playing for my high school team I have learned that if you work hard you will succeed and that is something that motivates me.
In the classroom I also work hard and maintain a 3.5 GPA and I am part of several different clubs such as heath club, ecology club, and interact club. I volunteer at various different things going on in my community. I am a referee for the youth girls lacrosse and this year I plan to become an assistant coach. I was also chosen to attend the CIAC leadership conference. I was awarded first team all conference and second team all state my sophomore year and I plan to make the same achievements my junior and senior years. I plan to study sports medicine in college.
I want to attend college and play lacrosse there because I am ready to be pushed to the next level both on the field and in the classroom. I hope to become an attribute and role model to all of my peers and community.
