I have been playing lacrosse since I was in 6th grade. Ever since I started playing I knew that I wanted to play in college. I knew that it would be a life-changer but I had to work hard for it and earn it. With that being said I practice almost every day. I work on stick skills, footwork and shooting drills.
I have exceptional stick skills. For example, I can use both hands for everything. I use both hands all the time. I use them to pass, shoot, ground balls, draw defenses, for everything. When I play I put 110% into every game and practice. I am determined and very passionate about this sport. I help and support my team both on varsity and junior varsity. I explain and help them learn different drills and skills to use in the field. I am hardworking and strive to encourage and help others.
In the classroom, I am hardworking and determined to reach my goals. I set goals that I know I will have to work hard to accomplish. I study hard and keep my grades up. I strive and push myself to make honors. I also am a referee for the youth girl's lacrosse for Somers. I started reffing because I wanted to teach the younger generation the rules and how to have a fun and safe sport to play. This also gives me the opportunity to get to know the younger generation and let them know that I am willing to help them develop stick and field skills.
I would like to attend a college where I can strive and be determined to reach my goals both on the lacrosse field and academically. I would like to go to a college that is Division 2-3 or NAIA. I would also like a school that is competitive. I hope to be a great role model for my peers and encourage others to strive for their goals.
