2022 UPDATE: My team finished the regular season undefeated 7-0 ranked #1 in our District! We WON our first ever playoff - District Championship FHSAA 2A D1!
2022 UPDATE: I was just named a permanent Captain for NHS Girls Varsity Lacrosse Spring 2022 as a junior.
I have played lacrosse for over 5 years and accompanied with academics; it is the one thing I am incredibly passionate about. Once I picked up a stick I was hooked. Now I eat, sleep, breath lacrosse. Ever since I have been introduced to girl's lacrosse, one of my favorite things to do is stringing sticks. I have strung many of my teammates and opponents sticks and it has been so much fun to learn all the effects a stringing style has on performance of stick skills. I consistently work hard on my stick skills and lax IQ by joining year-round teams, attending many camps, clinics, and a variety of tournaments as a guest player with several teams. Because I live in the Florida panhandle, which is far from being a lax hotbed, I often travel to develop skills, gain valuable coaching, and get on the field to play.
I have strong skills on the draw, but I have been the leader in goals and assists on my varsity team for the past two years. In 2021 I scored 25 goals and 26 assists. I love to play at X and be an active attacker; my lax IQ has given me the ability to read the field and find the best possible way for my team to succeed. I am definitely a team player; I am the most excited when I feed a ball to one of my teammates and they score, and I often tell my coaches that I will play anywhere that they need me.
Words to describe me have included loyal, great work ethic, humble, fun, high integrity, and a great mentor.
I am as dedicated to my academics as lacrosse. Sitting ranked #8 in my class of 482 at the moment with a 4.7 weighted GPA is something I am incredibly proud of. I love school, and I find coursework exciting and challenging while gaining knowledge. I feel my strongest or most favorite subjects are MATH and SCIENCE. I do not know specifically what I want to major in, but I am interested in Data Sciene/Analytics/Applied Math. I recently started my own IRA and Investment account because my father has instilled in me the benefit of starting to save/invest early so it grows over my lifetime.
I would love the opportunity to continue my passion by playing lacrosse and competing at the next level in college and being part of a college women's lacrosse team, especially if I can find a balance alongside my undergraduate work.
