Hello coaches! My name is Isabelle Speer, but most people call me Izzy. I aspire to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. I am the perfect fit for your team because I have strong determination, commitment, high energy (lots and lots of it), I am a leader but also a team player, and I am extremely coachable. I value a coach’s opinion and I absorb and apply their critiques to my playing. My stick is an extension of my arm and playing lacrosse felt so natural as if my body was molded for the sport. I joined my high school team scoring 2 goals my first game ever. I worked hard, earning a varsity spot since my freshman year. I joined my first club team that following summer and have played year-round ever since. I aspire to become a better player and improving my skills every day. I was named captain for my junior and senior year and got accepted to play on the SAWUSA team in the Lisboa Cup. When I play lacrosse, it is a separation from the outside world. Whenever I’m in practice, playing a game, or even doing wall ball, my only focus is on the sport I love, and the worries of everyday life can’t bother me.
