Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I didn't have sports. Maybe I'd be a better student, or a better friend, or a better daughter, or a better sister, or just a better person. But then I look back on all of the great things that have happened to me because of sports and I know I am doing exactly what was meant for me. I have made life long friends and met amazing coaches who have helped me to improve my skills as a lacrosse player as well as a person. Sports continue to have a huge impact on my life because they made me who I am today. My coach had faith in me when I was a sophomore in high school and made me a team captain. She gave me the confidence to be a leader and I have taken this job very seriously by helping younger teammates improve their skills. Yes, I have had some bad days with my sports but that doesn't mean I am going to stop trying to improve my skills or prove myself to anyone who has doubted me. I love what I do and I'm never gonna stop loving lacrosse because what I do speaks through my actions not my words. Yes, I make mistakes but I always come back stronger because I don't let anything get in the way of my dreams. I push myself past my limits to get better, my coach pushes me past my limits because she knows what is inside of me and she knows what I can do on and off the field. She knows I can make a difference with my team and my own life. I push myself to give a 110% effort at every game and every practice, I will never stop working towards my goal.
My college goals and aspirations are to find a school where I can pursue my degree in physical therapy while playing lacrosse. I am hoping to attend a university where I can play lacrosse for all four years of my college experience. I am looking forward to the challenge of playing at a higher level, meeting new friends/teammates, and being coached by people who have the expertise to evaluate my skills and encourage me to become a better player.
