One of my main goals for academics/sports is to be able to carry the sport that I love with me and be able to play collegiately. Over the years I’ve tried many sports; softball which lasted 7 years, soccer, and basketball which lasted 4 years. Although I’ve tried all these sports and even got serious with some of them, something clicked whenever I started seriously playing lacrosse. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to handle juggling AP classes and high level academics and lacrosse but I sailed through it easily. This is one of my biggest motivators and reliefs about going collegiately with lacrosse. I’ve got big spirit and I’ve adopted the role of team captain for my club lacrosse team as school lacrosse isn’t an option for me. I find strength in lifting up my teammates while also trying to add an element of fun and lightheartedness. All of these reasons are why I am different from other aspiring college athletes and why I think that I should have a spot on your team.
