I started playing lacrosse in the fall of 2017 because I wanted to try something new, and discovered I really love the sport. I played fall ball, and then joined my high school JV team where I bridged to Varsity at the end of the season. I am now playing summer league on a newly formed Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) girls U17 team and will be attending a Nike lacrosse camp at Berry College in July.
During this past regular JV season, my teams' record could have been better, but every game I still pushed my hardest and scored multiple times every game. I believe I improved quite a bit throughout the season, and I learned a lot about teamwork and good sportsmanship. I started every game as a mid-fielder, taking the face-off. And, because of my hard work and dedication, my coach asked me to play in the playoffs for the Varsity team.
Although I have not yet determined a college major, I do know I want a school with a strong academic program and a solid team where I can continue to grow my skills. I'm thinking of becoming a veterinarian or possible pursuing a medical career. I am looking forward to turning 16, so I can volunteer with a local rescue that I've been active with since I was 10 as their youngest monthly donor.
