My name is pronounced Keelee, but most coaches just call me Key. I am a Senior at McEachern High School, soon to be 4yr varsity starter on my High School team and played club with the Sharks and GA Peaches as well as pick up opportunities with MFL. I have over 10 years playing experience, am known for my high lacrosse IQ, advanced field vision, exceptional stick skills and control, ability to feed targeted passes/shots through heavy traffic and hunger to learn more about the game.
I am a solid team player who plays an important role on my team. I know my skill set and what I contribute, and I know what I do is important for a successful offense. I can score, and I do often, but I am very good at feeding the ball through heavy traffic for an assist and playing defense during transitions. I can read the field and evaluate my options to identify the best path(s) to score. I work with my teammates, communicating to set up the field, directing traffic and drawing players away from teammates, whatever is necessary to help my team score. These are qualities that my coach (a former D1 player from Canisius) often says are hard to find in a player, which is why it was such a compliment when a clinic coach said, "you want her on your team, because you don't want to play against her."
This year, against all odds, I lead my team to a 3-3 in-region season and 4th seed in the Georgia 6A/7A Region playoffs for the 1st time in 10 years. I made the winning shot with 4 seconds to go that sealed the deal in the deciding game. I finished my junior spring season with 56 goals, 11 assists, 61 ground balls, and 23 caused turnovers. I also added a behind the back shot and an insane back-handed shovel shot to my collection.
In addition to lacrosse, I am a 3rd year varsity starting player on our Girls Flag Football team. I am starting center and slot receiver. We made it to the Elite 8 in the State 7A Playoffs both years and won the Area 1 Championship last year and again this year. I enjoy playing football but want to continue to play lacrosse in college.
