Morgan Shumate '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Morgan Nicole Shumate. I am currently a 16 year old Junior at Lambert High School. I am 5'6" and weigh 125 lbs. I am a very dedicated lacrosse player and am absolutely in LOVE with the sport. I have been a Varsity starter on my high school team since Freshman year, was elected Team Captain by my teammates Sophomore year, and was awarded Defensive MVP, All-County, and All-State Honorable Mention. Outside of my high school, I play for Hotlanta's club team year round and participate in many tournaments throughout the year. I also earned the opportunity to play for Georgia's 2nd National Team in the National Tournament that took place in Maryland in May of this year. I am a very hard working athlete and am always looking to challenge myself in order to improve my skills and overall success as a lacrosse player. I am a very strong leader and take pride in my ability to connect with other teammates and pull the team together to work as a whole. I have no preference in the size or division of colleges at this time, but I am looking into colleges that are strong academically because academics are my first priority. I am willing to play at any competitive level of lacrosse as long as I have the opportunity to pursue my love for the sport as well as receive a strong education.
