It feels like it was just yesterday, freshman year of high school when I first got introduced to lacrosse, it was like a dream come true. At first I thought I would never be good and nothing good could come from playing “lacrosse”. Another year went by still no lacrosse team sophomore year. I started to lose hope and I was really upset, I even took it into my own hands to try to develop a team. It’s now my junior year and I’m ecstatic. I am now apart of a Varsity lacrosse team, also a Captain and have played 4 games thus far. I’ve realized all it takes is determination and dedication to have any type of success. Practice after practice, game after game; I have worked my hardest. No, it hasn’t been easy to get where I’m at today but it’s worth the wait.
I learned that success won’t come to me, I have to earn it maybe even chase after it. I believe my drive and how dedicated I am has helped me through this entire process. My team has lost 4 games in a row so far but I continue to be a leader, I continue to uplift my team and let them know it’s not how we start it’s how we finish. I’m striving for all A’s, I get closer and closer to my goal each day. I will continue to be a leader, show ambition in everything I do and I will be destin for greatness.
