Win or lose, I leave the lacrosse field feeling accomplished that I’ve given my best. During my years of playing lacrosse, I’ve come to understand that giving my best and being the best is not the same thing. At first it was hard accepting that someone else might be better than me in lacrosse. However, communication with my parents and coaches helped me to understand that my barometer is not someone else on the field. My barometer is my own continued personal dedication to advance my lacrosse skills and deliver on the field; how I show up on the field is my true barometer. I show up for practice and for games with the intent to listen to my coaches, support my teammates, and execute so we can be as successful as possible. This is me giving my best and I am excited to take and show my abilities, support, and love for the game to the collegiate level.
