I enjoy working with my peers to achieve the commitments needed for team sports. I am capable of numerous responsibilities when assigned. In the beginning of the first year I played lacrosse... I did not receive as much playing time as I would have preferred. After practice I would go home and spend an additional hour practicing due to my perseverance. Ever since then I have been happy with the position I have played throughout the seasons.
Throughout my journey I have developed great teamwork skills. I incorporate these skills in my daily life as well. I am very capable of assessing these skills throughout my life. I am not easily discouraged and pursue my goals with excitement and patience. I have been very fortunate to have supportive parents, coaches and friends with the process of becoming an exceptional athlete.
What sets me apart from other recruits is ... that I have always been a mutli-sport athlete. Plus , I have been told multiple times I am extremely coachable. My work ethic and discipline toward everything I do is noticeable. Not only am I a multi-sport athlete, I am also an accomplished equestrian that competes on occasion. Throughout my riding career, I have experienced the need for extreme discipline and adaptability.
During high school I have been involved with debate and leadership club. Somehow, I also have made the time to be on student council. Not only this, but I somehow manage to maintain distinction (80% + GPA). In addition, I volunteer with autistic children for hippotherapy and emotional therapy. I have also volunteered at Holy Cross and will begin shadowing nurses soon.
I want to play at the college level and remain in a competitive environment. This will encourage me to succeed with my academics and sportsmanship. I am passionate about obtaining a degree from a respected school and improve my lacrosse skills.
By playing lacrosse I feel strong team spirit. This allows me to forget everything else and really focus. I am fully capable of contributing while playing this sport. While doing so, I would like to continue my journey by studying prelaw or nursing. I enjoy standing up for what is right as well as creating a well-developed argument. I posses a strong ability to understand truth and justice. Although, I obtain great joy with helping people.
