Coach - Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and personal statement. I am a four year Varsity player and proud to be able to assist my team by, depending on the needs of the team or game situation, play defense, midfield, or attack with equal skill. For my sophomore year, I transitioned to defense primarily and played hard every minute of every game. I loved anchoring the defense and we repeated as the Atlantic Coast League Champion. I will start on defense again this year (my junior year), but love to break the ball out too and help my team score. I will bring that same competitive spirit to your team, while also being an empathetic and caring teammate who builds up those around me. I love helping others and volunteer with the Marshfield (MA) Youth Lacrosse program, coaching and mentoring young female athletes. I also work at the Marshfield (MA) Boys and Girls Club leading youth programs. As a four year Varsity swimmer (qualified for/competed in State Finals all four years), I was selected to coach the Hanover (MA) Junior High School Swim Team. These experiences have solidified my desire to play lacrosse in college and to coach after college graduation. I am passionate about helping others, pushing myself to improve, and being a good teammate and am looking for a college athletic program that will help me in all 3 areas. As a military child who has traveled extensively, I have a great appreciation for different cultures and for the opportunities I have been afforded. My experiences living on 3 continents helped shape who I am and what I want to do with my life. I want to major in either nursing or occupational therapy and help others enjoy the best quality of life as possible. While in school, I want to be part of an athletic program that will challenge me individually as a student athlete and help me develop as a person and player. At graduation, I want to be remembered as being an unselfish and invaluable teammate who continually improved as a player and helped the team do its very best. I am confident that I would be a positive asset for your program and look forward to discussing this possibility with you. Regardless, best of luck in your recruiting efforts! - Molly Carroll
