Jessie Bavly '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jessie Bavly, I am a 2023 right attacker and I aspire to get to a collegiate level at a great school that I love both athletically and academically. I am a dedicated and hard working student athlete. I believe consistency is key and you are the only person that can push yourself to get to where you want to be. A strong suit of mine is my coachability and ability to improve my game at such a fast rate. When I compare myself to others, I often notice that I take the extra step. I look for hidden opportunities both on and off the field. It is what you do outside of the requirements that make you great and set you apart from the rest. Academic examples of this in my case would be taking college business courses over the summer, and joining student government for my high school class every year. While athletically, to me this means ensuring that I am at every camp and private lesson that aren’t just the ones recommended by my club team. My independency and ability to take initiative for myself sets me apart from others my age. I look into coaching opportunities near by, showcases and camps in range to attend, and of course getting that stick in my hand every day. Whether that means at the local turf or just in the backyard. Putting in work outside of practices is a vital part of my game and leads me to overall increase my level of play. I believe working in uncomfortable positions and pushing your limits causes the great player inside of you to emerge and become a highly diverse player.  It is what you put in off the field that pushes you to the next level.
