My name is Maizy Veitch and I am a junior starting attacker for the Lincoln-Sudbury Varsity Lacrosse Team in Massachusetts (Go Warriors), a team I have played on since my freshman year. I also play attack/midfield and take the draw for Mass Elite, a club team based out of Massachusetts.
As an attacker primarily, I obviously love to score goals but I consider myself an unselfish team player whose personal stats don’t factor into game time decisions. I love being part of a team and I’ve worked hard to earn the trust, respect and friendship of my teammates. I’ve done that by working hard, playing tough but smart, elevating my game against high level opponents and demonstrating a genuine desire to see my team succeed.
Academically, I take school very seriously and I’ve challenged myself with several honors level classes. While I enjoy English and History I see myself focusing on business in the future.
An ideal college experience would include pursuing Business as a major while still being able to explore the Arts and Humanities, and of course, playing lacrosse. While education must come first, I absolutely love lacrosse, and I love being part of a team. My goal is to find a college that will help prepare me for my future career while still allowing me to play the sport I love and be part of something bigger than myself.
