I have always been active in multiple sports. Growing up with 4 brothers and 1 sister, naturally I am very competitive! I started playing soccer and hockey at age 4 and have always played at the highest levels, as well as many select teams. I wasn't introduced to lacrosse until 7th grade. I originally started playing lacrosse in order to stay active during my off-season for hockey. I loved it! My second year of playing, I made JV. I was captain of my 8th grade A team that made it to State, and named MVP by my coach. I then made Team MN. Unfortunately, I was unable to take the position due to the schedule conflicting with the hockey team I was already committed to.
I have since decided to devote all my attention to lacrosse because I feel it is the perfect combination of the other sports I've played and I would love to continue to play through college. My goal this year is to increase my GPA and ACT to make myself a better candidate for college recruitment. Being in multiple sports has definitely helped shape me into a team player and increased my ability to see the field and be able to set up plays, which I think would make me a great prospect at the collegiate level.
