My name is Shannon Buehre and I am from Lee's Summit, Mo. In 2019 I will graduate from Lee's Summit North High School. My primary positions are midfield and attack.
I am currently 5'1" and weigh 115 pounds. I started lacrosse my freshman year at the age of 15, and my sophomore year I was a varsity letterman. As a student, I am a honor student with a high GPA. During the fall of 2017, because of all my hard work on the lacrosse field, I was invited to play on AIST's select 2019 US International Team. During the summer of 2018, I will travel to London and Paris for tournaments to play for them. I work very hard during the season, and during the off season. I am constantly watching videos to learn new stick tricks, and I constantly have my stick in my hand. Just like lacrosse, I work very hard in the classroom. As a junior in high school, I am already taking college credit courses and all honors classes. I love challenging myself in the classroom and on the field. I currently am in an advanced weights class at my high school, which helps me grow athletically while learning how to take care of my body. I have aspired to be a collegiate athlete. I would like to attend a college/university that challenges me. I would be an asset for a program with my leadership, and my willingness to work hard all the time. My dream is to continue to play lacrosse through college. My goal is to major in Exercise Science and go on to get my PhD to become a physical therapist. I would also like to minor in French, as I will already have 2 years of college credit towards my minor when I graduate in 2019. I am open to lots of options, and ultimately would love to find the right university/college to attend.
