I started playing lacrosse at the end of elementary school at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD. In 8th grade, I switched to Jemicy School. Other girls and I made a lacrosse team because lacrosse was only offered at the lower school. During practices we would work on footwork, stick work, conditioning, and scrimmage. I've done programs at Coppermnine Field House with other girls. Off the field, I practice on my own weekly, at a nearby turf field which consists of suicides, shooting, conditioning, wall ball, etc. Since 6th grade, I struggled with my mental health, while keeping lacrosse, soccer as a positive coping skill. Throughout high school, my attendance for practices decreased because of my mental health which continued to increasing habits. I got sent to treatment at New Vision Wilderness, WI, and currently, I am attending a transitional boarding school Chrysalis School, MT. I have been attending Chrysalis for about 3 months. During wilderness, besides hikes, I would work out with other girls and practice footwork. Currently at Chrysalis, I practice every day. There is not a team here, but I'm looking forward to teaching other girls, and hosting a team in the spring, as I get closer to going home. I'm not sure where I am going to attend my last year of high school in 2020 (TBC) I always make sure I'm caught up, and am not the type to give up and I feel that I am a thorough and motivated leader.
