My name is Aida Standerford and I will be a senior at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska the 2022-2023 school year. I am in the International Baccalaureate program at my school because I am always up for and looking for a challenge. I have earned an academic letter and pin for my achievements in school. After high school, I plan to go to college for engineering (leaning towards biomedical/biotechnological) while also continuing my lacrosse career. Lacrosse has been my sport since I first picked up my stick, even grinning after getting hit in the face with my first ball my first day.
I am known as a leader both in school and on the field. I am always encouraging my teammates and reaching out to see how they can improve and how they are mentally. I am always checking on the mental health of my teammates and communicating ways to help with the coaches to ensure that as a captain, I am encouraging them as much as possible. I also have a strong passion for animals leading me to show cows in 4-H every summer and volunteer as a cat socializer at the Capital Humane Society in my city.
