Personal Statement

I've fallen in love with lacrosse ever since I started in the 3rd grade. I love how fast and quick the sport is, it truly is the fastest game on two feet.  I feel that my speed and endurance has really helped me to excel at this sport due to lacrosse's quickness. Lacrosse has always been an outlet for me to be myself and to do something that truly brings me happiness. Lacrosse has taught me the ways of life, like how to be a good competitor, how to be a good teammate and how to deal with success and failure. Because of these lessons I've learned, I am a humble competitor, I am driven and focused, I am also an encourager and every time I walk on that field I am grateful for the opportunity to play. I've been able to take the lessons I've learned on the field and apply them to my everyday life. I feel the sport has taught me and continues to teach me the ideals of being a hard working student and athlete. I am grateful that I've had the opportunity to play lacrosse throughout my middle school and high school years and for all the of life and game knowledge that I've acquired. I was blessed to have the opportunity to play varsity lacrosse as a freshman. This experience pushed me to alway be playing at my best and taught me to be mentally tough.  As a freshman, it was intimidating playing against upperclassmen but throughout the season I learned to be confident and composed. Being on the varsity team allowed me to realize that a team is not defined by age, winning or losing but instead by how hard the team works together.

I truly am dedicated to continuing the pursuit of knowledge on the field and in the classroom. Earning a degree in English and being able to represent my university on the lacrosse field would be a dream. Having the opportunity to play lacrosse in college would allow me to keep learning and growing inside the classroom as well as on the field. I dream of playing college lacrosse to continue to my journey in being the best person and player I can be as well as helping my teammates to reach their best as well.  I feel that lacrosse has so much more to teach me and I am ready to learn and try new things.  I am looking forward to new challenges and experiences which I know college and playing college lacrosse will offer me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
