Hello!
I'm Selma Benkhoukha and ever since I first picked up a lacrosse stick I knew I wanted to go farther with it. To me lacrosse was not just a sport, it was my way of expression, a way to let out all the chaos that was going on in my head and heart. Whenever I felt stressed or just needed a break, playing lacrosse helped me regain control of myself. Whether I was playing a game or just passing at a brick wall the amount of emotion and heart that I put in is and will always be the same. My work ethic and determination have always been strong points; I have not been playing lacrosse for long, this year makes 2 full years but the way I see it is; lacrosse came into my life when I needed it most. I will continue to work hard and will not rest until I make up for the lost time. My academic life is also a huge part of my personality. I value my education a lot and feel as though I define the term "Student-athlete" very well. While my entire personal life may be chaotic and out of control I've always kept my mind on the positive future and kept my grades where they need to be to set myself up for as much success, and prepared myself as best as possible for the near future. Playing lacrosse has been the light at the end of the tunnel for me and I would love to keep looking forward to that light even in college.
Thank you for your time,
Selma Benkhoukha
