Allison Kolacy '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Allison Kolacy and I am a sophomore at Morris Knolls High School, currently ranked 10th in New Jersey. I am 5'9" and 145 pounds. I live, breathe, and love lacrosse. Coaches have often commented on my impeccable work ethic, "coachability", and desire to always improve. I show up to practices and games the same way every time - eager to work hard and get better. I have been playing lacrosse for six years. I started in 5th grade and fell in love. I participated in the Developmental league in 8th grade and have played on several club teams. I have attended many clinics to enhance my stick skills. I am currently the starting center attack on my high school varsity team. On my club team I start at center mid. In addition to playing, I also coach and referee. I have been an assistant coach for the boys 2014 team for three years. While the boys game is vastly different from the girls game, I am able to help them with basic stick skills, passing and catching. I am also a Youth Official for U.S. Lacrosse. I enjoy encouraging others to learn and love lacrosse. It is extremely rewarding to help young girls learn the right way to play. I will be helping run a clinic for 2nd-3rd grade this summer. I believe I have a lot to offer a team. I try to inspire others through my actions and commitment to hard work and improvement. As a sophomore, I am currently second in goals and points. I am working toward becoming team captain. I strive to be positive and encouraging with my teammates. I believe that working together is the only way to succeed. I have not yet narrowed down a region or size for the college I want to attend. I am still open to all options. I am fairly certain that I would like to pursue a career in education and I plan to coach my own lacrosse team someday. As a future college athlete, I have a strong desire to play at the most competitive level possible. I hope that I will be able to contribute to a successful program, improve my skills, and increase the level of play for myself as well as the team.
