I started playing volleyball when I was in 7th grade and immediately loved the game. I knew right away that I wanted to play volleyball at the college level and would work as hard as I could over the next 6 years to achieve that goal.
If I were to summarize my game I would say that I have a presence at the net. I am able to change my opponent’s game with my ability to block their best hitters. Even though I am younger than most of the girls on my club team, I am a team leader and try to lead by example. I am always willing to put in the time and hard work it takes to better myself and my teammates.
In the classroom, I maintain a high GPA (currently 3.6) and am currently taking three honors courses. I am also part of the Teen Leadership Council, a member of the Hope Club, volunteer as a youth volleyball coach, and am Editor and Chief of my high school’s yearbook.
My goal is to attend a college where I can achieve all of my academic and athletic goals. My brother is currently a Division II student athlete and I have learned a lot from him regarding what it takes to be a successful collegiate athlete at a high level. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college where I can make a difference on and off the court. I know given the right opportunity I can make my peers, my current teammates and my family proud!
