I'm thankful to have started sports like hockey and lacrosse at such a young age, as it's helped me hone my skills and improved me as a person. I hope to continue with athletics through to post-secondary so I can grow and learn even more. I've played in a handful of provincial medal games, and I played in the 2018 Ontario Summer Games, which was a really great experience for me. It helped me learn many things, like perseverance and the importance of keeping a never-give-up attitude. Suffering defeats in important matches has helped me learn and focus on what I could do better, striving to improve so every time I play I can say that I gave absolutely everything I could out on the field.
As a goalie, along with skills like hand-eye coordination and clearing, I’ve picked up leadership and communication skills both on and off the field that help me work effectively and adapt to any program or playing style.
I want to go into a program that will be good for me both academics-wise and athletics-wise, though my main focus will be on the academic aspect. I’ve got a strong interest in Criminal Justice and Law, and I’ve got a passion for the arts. I still have time, so I haven’t made up my mind on which path I’d like to follow yet. Whatever I end up doing, I'll certainly give my all at it so I won't have any regrets.
