My name is Julia Daniels, and I am currently a Grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique St-Jean-de Brébeuf in Welland, Ontario, Canada where I am receiving a top-notch French-Catholic education, as well as premiere athletic training through the High Skills Major Sports Performance program.
Academics are very important to me in choosing a school for my post-secondary education, but I am also extremely interested in playing field lacrosse in university. I have spent the last 7 years in various field lacrosse programs in Canada and the United States, and I hope to continue to play the game that I love while receiving a superior-quality education at post-secondary. My academic accomplishments include advanced-level courses (AP) and honours equivalent throughout high school, as well as student-athlete awards, a 4.0+ GPA, and maintaining a 90+% average every year, which I intend to continue to achieve in my senior year.
Athletic accomplishments include MVP awards for various high school sports, Student-Athlete awards for high performance coupled with high grades, as well as enrollment in the High Skills Major Sports Performance program at my school, which will earn me an additional seal on my high school diploma for high performance athletic achievement.
Please take a minute to look at my bio/profile page (PDF attached) and view some of the video footage included.
Our U19 “A” team, the St. Catharines Athletics, won the provincial gold medal at this year’s Ontario championships (2023) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In this year’s gold medal game, as an attacker, I scored 4 goals, including one penalty shot. I have been so lucky to team up with some amazing lacrosse players, people I consider great friends, but also extremely fortunate to have been coached by outstanding former players at the D1, D2, and professional (NLL) levels over the years.
Attending post-secondary at a quality school has always been a major objective of mine; I would like to study Psychology, Pre-Law, or Criminal Justice, and eventually go to Law School. However, I would not be able to pursue this dream without financial assistance. I would appreciate any information you can provide regarding your International Student scholarships, Athletic scholarships, stacked bursaries, and other Merit scholarships.
