Hola! My name is Aviana Gonzales, I am a 2022 at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. My personal goals are to improve myself in every way possible, whether that’s academically, athletically or to improve myself as a person and the people around me. With these goals in mind I aspire to accomplish everything that I set my mind to, no matter how difficult.
I started to find my passion for lacrosse when I began playing in 3rd grade. Over the last 8 years of playing, I have increased my Lax IQ by playing all through 3rd-8th in my rec. season, Highschool, and club/ travel season, as well as watching game film. Those are not the only ways I have been able to grow my Lax IQ, I have had many opportunities to coach many different ages. Having the privilege of playing lacrosse has not only given me great experiences but has taught me a lot about who I want to be on and off the field. I decided I did not want to limit myself to playing a single sport and that I can learn so much more by playing two. So I wanted to give volleyball a try. I have enjoyed playing volleyball and learned more about teamwork, how important communication is on a team and how to translate different skills to lacrosse. My want to grow and be vocal caught the attention of my volleyball coaches who recommended me to a for the Oregon Leadership Summit. Attending the summit gave me confidence to start a youth training company with two other varsity athletes. I want to give back to the younger generation and teach them the sport of Lacrosse and Volleyball..
I believe myself to be a strong woman and I like to work and grow myself from other strong women, proactive, intelligent, strong women. I aspire to not only be a leader but a role model for my teammates and friends. I want to be successful in my goals and play collegiate lacrosse, earn a college degree, study criminology and psychology, and give back to the world in a positive way.
