Hi! My name is Sierra Donis, I am a 2024 goalie from Oregon, and I love lacrosse! I love it because of the person I become when I walk onto the field. While somewhat quiet and not overly talkative in school, I completely flip the script when I get into goal. I become loud, directive and hugely supportive of my teammates. The goalie position is special, and the way you can mold your play style is what makes me passionate about the position. Yet, it’s all about the most important aspect of a goalie: the feeling of a save. The feeling is nothing less than amazing, charges my energy, and can shift the momentum of a game for my team. I stay focused and positive in good times and bad, especially for my team. I am a very active goalie and have worked extensively on knee dropping techniques, getting on the ground when needed, and attacking in 1 on 1 situations. Coaches describe me as very coachable, assertive, and always working to improve my game. I want to play with a competitive team at a college that challenges me in both lacrosse and academics. I have a 4.0 GPA (4.08 weighted) and take pride in my straight A’s record, along with AP courses to stretch my abilities and keep me growing. I started playing lacrosse when I was 10 years old (goalie since 11) and intend to play collegiately. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
