As soon as I picked up a stick and stepped on the lacrosse field when I was 9, I fell in love with the sport and quickly realized that it is something I want to continue throughout college. Playing lacrosse in college would be an amazing opportunity and a dream come true for me.
I have developed great stick skills using both of my hands, and I am never hesitant to switch hands while playing. l also have excellent speed that I use often to my advantage in games. Additionally, I am a team player and understand the importance of working together with my teammates on the field. I always first look towards the team’s gain rather than my own. If a better opportunity to score is available for one of my teammates, I will not hesitate to pass it off. I’m also very hard-working and coachable. I will always attend practices, games, and any other additional workouts and put in my best effort, as well as immediately apply advice from coaches to my play.
In school, I am a straight A student and currently have a 4.6 GPA that I study hard for to maintain. I am also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), and am volunteering for my local intramural soccer program during the beginning of this summer.
School is just as important to me as lacrosse is, which is why I want to attend a college that will challenge me in both athletics and academics. I want to be able to play at the highest level possible while also gaining my education in an academic program that suits me and make my family, friends, and myself proud.
