I was a field hockey player up until 2017 when I moved from Chapel Hill, NC to Charleston, SC. Even though I grew up watching UNC and always wanted to play lacrosse there, field hockey was a bigger sport for young girls in Chapel Hill so that is what I focused on. In moving to Charleston I had the opportunity to start playing club lacrosse and I made the switch. I've been so happy with that decision and have focused on lacrosse for the last four years.
My goal is to play competitive college lacrosse and get a college degree in health sciences. I love helping people and I am thrilled by the thought of spending my days in a hospital. I have a 4.8 GPA and I am apart of the National Honor Society.
On my club team, I am a midi and draw specialist. During my freshman and sophomore high school seasons, I was a starter and played attack. I really enjoyed the new opportunity and it gave me a chance to develop other skills and learn a new position. I am bigger and stronger than most girls my age so being able to play anywhere on the field is a great thing. I also play tennis, which is an individual sport, so playing lacrosse gives me a chance to bond with others and be a part of a team. As I get older lacrosse is becoming more and more important in my life and I am excited to see where it takes me.
