Hailey Jasuta '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Hailey Jasuta and I am a defender  for Lexington High School in South Carolina. While I primarily play defense, I also love to play as a midi for my club teams as it allows me to continue to play defense but it also challenges me on the offensive side of lacrosse.  I am extremely dedicated in everything I do, making it easy for me to balance school and lacrosse Lacrosse, along with other activities like being part of my school’s Students In Action Team, music, volunteer coaching for the girl's Rec team, and hunting, have shaped my character into who I am, and who I hope to grow to be. As I said before, I am extremely dedicated with everything I do and I am not afraid to put in the work to grow. Lacrosse has given me a way to challenge myself both physically and mentally. All of the moving parts, the transitions, and the learning and setting up different plays, gives me a way to challenge myself and motivates me continuously to improve my IQ. The constant change and moving focus from individual to supporting your teammates is both a physical and mental challenge which drives me. I began on defense and love that midfield allows me the creativity on offense and the physicality on defense. I play both high school and club Lacrosse, giving me the opportunity to connect and be coached by different coaches and their coaching styles. I plan on continuing to play lacrosse at a collegiate level, further challenging me physically and mentally. Playing at a collegiate level would also give me the opportunity to grow more as a leader. While I already have experience with leading through mentoring 6th graders as they start middle school during my 7th and 8th grade years, being the communication leader on the yearbook staff during 8th grade, and now being part of my school’s Students In Action Team, I am always looking for ways to grow as a leader.
