My name is Carly Bourne and I attend Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have many goals for my upcoming college years. During my college experience, I want to take advantage of all the opportunities presented to me in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. I want to major in communications or business and during my studies, get an internship where I can further my education.
I think I would be a good collegiate lacrosse player because I am good at balancing my activities. I will be able to balance my school work and lacrosse and not slack off on either. I work hard when it comes to my school work and am seen as a leader in my classes. I also seen as a leader on the field. I am an accountable player who will do anything that is asked of me. I will continue to work so that I can be the best person on and off the field.
Coming from a school such as GPS, I have been taught for the past seven years that I must work hard to obtain success. Throughout college, I will not stop working as hard as I can. I will not pass up an opportunity to better myself whether that be getting extra help in the class or getting extra practice in on the field, I am going to commit to succeeding. I also will be committed to my teammates. Since we will all be on a team together, I will not slack off just because I may be tired or stressed. I will also help others if they are feeling down or under appreciated and show them that they are just as important to the team as I am. I believe that being devoted to my team and school work will make me a better person for the rest of my life.
